NCSU Soccer

Last night, Brian and I got to enjoy the night at an NCSU Soccer game with Dave & Krew.  Soccer isn't my favorite sport to watch, but I learned more about the rules and enjoyed the game last night more than usual.  I mostly enjoyed watching Krew follow the ball and look cute :)

 

Whenever the Wolfpack would score they would throw out t-shirts to the audience!  I "caught" one and low and behold it was a small!  And by caught, i meant hit me in the face and Dave grabbed it and gave it to me!

Well, we had a good time, the Wolfpack was up 3-0 when we left and it was a fun way to spend an evening after my meeting got canceled!  Thanks, Dave for getting us in!

Here Comes the Bride

So exited for this weekend!  J & K tie the knot.  We get to be involved in the festivities! 

Looking forward to celebrating their marriage, seeing good friends and family and having a reason to have a party!

Date Night

Nothing like enjoying the fading days of summer with the hubs and a fun dinner at the Boylan Bridge Brewpub.  And what better way to wash down a pretzel with beer-cheese than a nice pint of  Summer Ale?  Mmmm.

And yes, we felt the earthquake around these parts.  It was a bit surreal and at first I just thought I was feeling dizzy or something.  Until Jenny comes flying out of her office saying, it's an earthquake guys, I'm standing in the doorway!  And the ladies from accounting came screaming down the stairs and out the back door to stand in the parking lot.  And Hamlet tried to jump into Crystal's lap he was so scared.  I personally thought it was cool and a unique experience.  But honestly can't imagine going through a devastating one or being any closer.

Anyway, enjoy the final recap of our visit to NM/CO.  It's a fun little ditty Becky put together...that I've stolen.

Oh, go jump off a cliff…

That might be a pretty mean insult…but not when it’s cliffs like this!  Sorry, the pics aren’t great b/c most were taken with my phone.

Monday of our trip Jack & Becky took us up to Abiquiu (abi-cue) Lake to test our nerves jumping from up to 35’ or 40’.  Brian & Jack had no fear and jumped right in off the tallest point.  Becky coaxed me to the 20 footer where I stood at the edge for forever before I decided to head down to the 10’ ledge.  She jumped off with no problem! I can typically “turn off” the fear factor in my brain and just go for things like this, but for some reason I was exceptionally timid this day.  I only jumped in 3x from the lowest edge before we decided to swim to the far side of the lake to skip rocks.

On the far side of the lake I got a little more comfortable with the water and Becky and I had fun doing front and back flips off a rock.  I even successfully completed 2 front flips with a full twist.  Too bad I couldn’t bring the camera with me :).  Jack attempted several times to do a front flip but just couldn’t quite get it.  He’s more of a diver and did some good dives off the rock!  After a bit, we decided to swim back to the cliffs so I could take some pictures of everyone jumping.

Here’s a video of J, B & B jumping off the high cliff.  It was a beautiful day, perfect weather and we were the only ones there for most of the time.  The water was great and no one got hurt.  Yay!
